Residential training has proved very popular for many people who want their dog to have a high standard of obedience and control, but lack the time or ability to undertake the task.  A lot of clients incorporate residential training, to coincide with a business or personal trip when they will be away from home.  During your dog’s 3 week stay, it will be taught the following:

  1. To walk, trot and run at heel position without pulling.

  2. To sit automatically every time you stop.

  3. To lie down on command.

  4. To sit and stay.

  5. To down and stay.

  6. To come when called, sit in front of you in a “present” position.

  7. From a front position, on command, to circle and sit to heel.

  8. To stand and stay.

  9. Not to jump on people.

All dogs are taught both verbally and on hand signals. Upon collection, your dog will demonstrate the above, and you will be taught to step into the trainer’s shoes, to ensure your dog will respond equally well for you. Thereafter, simply a few minutes practice a day will ensure the obedience stays fresh in your dog’s mind for its lifetime.
