If you have energy, a natural affinity with dogs, are prepared to work hard, and wish to make a career in the dog world, then we can help you succeed. With the knowledge and confidence gained from our Trainer’s Courses, many students are now employed within the ever-expanding dog industry. The informality and intimacy of our Trainer’s Course assures a relaxed, congenial atmosphere. Personalized one-on-one tuition makes learning fast and pleasurable. Using hands-on instruction, you will be taught the techniques needed to handle dogs of all shapes and sizes. You will also learn some of the key secrets not revealed in books, manuals and training videos. Classroom work reviews dog maintenance and health care, while instructional videos show the pro’s and cons of other forms of recognized training. Homework and research projects will be assigned to you, and will count as a credit towards your practical and written exam results at the end of the course. Successful graduates will receive a diploma, which will be your first step up the ladder of success towards a stimulating career as a Dog Trainer. WARNING!! No doubt you will be exploring other training establishments before choosing the course that is right for you. FOR YOUR PROTECTION please be aware of training academies that offer non-existent levels of qualification upon course completion. For example: There are no such training levels as #1, #2 or #3. Recognized levels are clearly defined in the Canadian Kennel Club rulebook, so DO ensure you receive a “C.D” (Companion Dog) level of instruction or higher. Remember, you will only be as good as the skill of your instructor, so be sure you get the very best! Before enrolling, ask to see: · Private Post Secondary approval and registrations · Trainer’s accreditation with a recognized body · Instructor’s accreditation · Championship obedience awards · Membership in the Canadian Institute of Professional Dog Trainer’s or other recognized professional body · Letters of veterinary approval · Past students comments and testimonials |
